Role Summary

We're seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President, Facility Development to lead the design, construction, and delivery of new facilities, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with operational and regulatory requirements.

As the Vice President, Facility Development, you will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of ASC construction projects, from design through completion. You will drive cost-effective, high-quality development while streamlining processes, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. On-Time & Cost-Effective Construction

• Deliver new facilities within 12 months from construction start to completion.
• Maintain construction cost variances within approved budgets.
• Reduce permitting delays by securing approvals within 90 days of application submission.

2. Optimized Vendor & Contractor Strategy

• Establish strong partnerships with architects, owner’s representatives, and general contractors to enhance project consistency and efficiency.
• Conduct facility development summits to align on strategy, best practices, and process improvements.
• Maintain competitive bid processes to achieve targeted cost savings per project.

3. Streamlined Construction & Regulatory Compliance

• Manage the timeline from project approval to construction start.
• Ensure 100% compliance with all regulatory and licensing requirements.
• Standardize facility design and construction processes to improve efficiency and reduce redesign costs.

4. Financial & Operational Efficiency

• Improve forecasting accuracy, keeping actual project costs within 95% of initial estimates.
• Reduce construction-related delays in equipment installation by aligning procurement with build schedules.
• Implement a centralized project tracking system to monitor budgets, timelines, and risks in real-time.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a facility development executive managing multi-site healthcare or ASC construction projects.
• Strong background in vendor management, regulatory compliance, and financial oversight.
• Experience successfully delivering high-quality, cost-effective facilities on time and within budget.
• Expertise in healthcare construction regulations, permitting, and licensing.
• Skilled in contract negotiation, vendor selection, and cost optimization strategies.
• Strong financial acumen, with experience managing multimillion-dollar construction budgets.
• Effective leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to align multiple stakeholders around project goals.
